Professional Qualifications.
2001-2004 Professional MMO Gamer | The Gamers Academy
After college I left the Military on good terms. I had accomplished my goal to be an officer and I found that my free spirited approach to life wasn’t suited for a career in the Army. Instead I took time to start a family and regroup before deciding on a career direction. It became what I consider Gaming Graduate School. The big name I devoted my time to during this period was Dark Age of Camelot. But I also discovered browser based games in titles like Utopia and Carnage Blender, my love of these games blossomed into what I consider my true professional calling.
2005-2007 Hotel Sales Associate | Choice Hotels International
In this period I took a sales job to hone my skills and worked to become a superb salesperson. I sold hotel rooms to over fifty thousand different people from all over the world. From this experience I gained a deep respect for the art of persuasion in a sales environment. I was able to achieve sales revenue of over $3 million in just over three years there. My gaming during this time included mainly Star wars Galaxies, EverQuest2, City of Heroes, Vanguard, and Civilization IV among many other titles.
2007-2010 Production Supervisor | United Postal Service
Once I felt that I had gained the advanced sales experience needed to be successful I took a management job with the United Postal Service. While there, I supervised both inbound and outboard package sort operations. I implemented new sort techniques that substantially increased the production rate of over a dozen employees. As I pursued my passion in gamming I created a business that allowed enough financial freedom to pursue my dream in a gaming profession. The games I played during this time were mainly Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Evony, and Nap War.
